Self-Depictions [by the Group] on Recruiting Flyers

Here are examples demonstrating how the group presents itself in its recruiting flyers. These are generally posted in public places. Mobile numbers, email addresses, and websites are given as contact opportunities [listed] on tags to be ripped off at the bottom of the page. Landlines or addresses (which would enable a person to check out the matter from a distance before [making contact]) are not given. Even the website of the group is not listed on all flyers.

Freedom is more than continuallychasing from one empty pursuit to another.
Jesus said: “If the Son make you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36)
We are friends who share this experience, and therefore our entire life, with each other – without structure, without leaders.

If life is ETERNAL,
what are you hurrying for?
We are Christians who want to get to know other people with whom we can search together for answers to honest questions.
We are not an official religious society or any other kind of organisation. We simply gather daily to share our lives and faith as the first Christians did. Their life and teaching is our example.

What remains:
Questions about God?
Are you looking for someone with whom you can talk about the most important questions of life, or with whom you can share your faith? We are Christians without leaders and institutions, who want to live together in this world according to the example of Jesus.
We are Christians.
We give no special name to ourselves for the simple reason that we don’t want to be anything other than Christians (Acts 11:26), disciples of Jesus (Acts 6:7), saints (Romans 1:7), brothers (Acts 1:15), Christ’s church (Romans 16:16), God’s children (John 1:12) … That’s what the Bible calls people who follow Jesus. Following Jesus – that’s what we want. That is our life and our goal, just as it also was for the first Christians. They shared their lives with each other. Their life and their teaching is an example for us. We consider God’s will to be unchangingly valid and credible, and we believe that a person can still live according to the same principles even today.

We follow Jesus and nobody else. We are not an official religious organization, but rather a community in the Biblical sense. What binds us together is love for God and for our siblings in the faith, and the shared desire to live as Christians in this world. We want to get know other people with whom we can seek mutual answers for honest questions, with whom can achieve unity, and with whom can share life.

Jesus
did NOT arrive
in order to enrich our culture and our

He calls us forth out of
lying, egoism, greed, …
to a life in
truth, self-sacrifice, love
and leads us to God.

We are Christians who share this experience,
and therefore our entire life,
too, with each other, like
the first Christians, –

Recruiting flyer in Dresden in April 2008

With money you can buy:

Medicine, but not health
Luxury, but not peace
Toys, but not friends
Food, but not satisfaction
Church membership, but not faith

Where can you find what everyone really needs?
Jesus says: Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. (John 6:35)

We are a small group of Christians who belong to no “denomination” and who want to follow Jesus according to the pattern of the first Christians.

You are …

Neither thrown into existence by chance, nor are you an emanation of an indefinable mysterious power. You are also not the Nth reincarnation of an unknown being. You are much more than the product of your genes and your environment.

You have a creator,

who created you out of love, so that you [can] find eternal happiness in a relationship with him. We have followed His call to a life as Christians, and we invite you into this, too.

Recruiting flyer in October 2009 in Bochum (near the Ruhr University), a lavender-colored flyer, 10.4 cm x 14.6 cm

We are Christians.

We don't give ourselves any special name for the
simple reason that we don't want to be anything
other than Christians (Act 11:26), disciples of
Jesus (Acts 6:7), saints (Romans 1:7), brothers
(Acts 1:15), church of Christ (Romans 16:16),
children of God (John 1:12)... That is what the
Bible calls the people who follow Jesus. Following
Jesus...that's what we want, nothing more, nothing
less. This is our life, our goal, just as it was for the
first Christians who shared their lives, gathering
together daily in love. Their life and teaching is an
example for us. We consider that to be God's will:
unchangingly valid and reliable. We are confident
that it is also possible to live that way today.

We follow Jesus and no one else. We are not an
official religious society or any other kind of
organisation, but community in the biblical sense.
Nothing but love for God and for our brothers,
aswell as the common desire to live as Christians,
binds us together. We want to get to know other
people with whom we can search together for
answers to honest questions, reach unity and share
our lives.

Backside:

IS THERE A GOD?
Can we get to know him?
What is the sense of life?
Is everything relative or is there an objective truth?
Are there many ways
or just one way and one truth?

Which religion leads to God?
Why are there so many different churches today?
Are they all right?
What does it mean to follow Jesus?

Can we tell hypocritical beliefs from real faith? -
Not everything that appears to be true really is true.
What is belief - conviction based on reason
or a feeling or ...????

We would like to invite you (and your friends) to
discuss together with us these and similar
questions. If you are not interested in such
questions please hand this flyer on to someone who
you know is interested in them.

Recruiting flyer, 2020, on Saxion University of Applied Sciences, Enschede Campus (Netherlands) - english translation

Is God important for you?
For us too!
We are a Christian congregation who want to take life with God very seriously, as Jesus puts it:
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength. (Marcus 12:30)
We come together as often as possible to talk about God and we want to live according to his will with his help in a pure and clear way. That is not easy and that is why we want to help each other to walk on the narrow road. We read the Bible and think together about how we can put it into practice. Selfless brotherly love is our goal, as Jesus showed us. We believe there is only one truth. We do not have a special "house of God", but we usually meet at home.
If you already know God and want to get to know us, or if you don't know God and you are interested in thinking more deeply about life, we invite you to get to know us:
